We let the world in on our small world. We let the world know our beliefs and a small part of us that no one sees comes out when we write. We bare all.

Sometimes we face ridicule or judgment from our families and friends that we permit into this small part of the world we have carved for ourselves. Well, this blog was a great way for me to get comfortable and ready to face anything now. I am finally ready to let my family and friends in on this world.

So, I created a new blog with my real information and will be talking about my family more. I have always protected my son because I wanted it to be his decision if the world knows who he is. I want him to select the information that is on the web about him.

Despite all of this, I can still shelter him and let him make the decision, but I do know I am ready to face the world. The Maniacal Matron - @MMScarletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03856687626309191226noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4533508488560963253.post-7877767376390409082011-01-18T23:37:00.000-05:002011-01-18T23:37:32.199-05:00Important Update! Attention Subscribers! So, as you know this has been my first blog ever and I have enjoyed learning and growing as a blogger here.

You, my readers, know me better than my own family. It was through writing to you that I discovered who I am and also became comfortable with who I am.

I know I have talked about how I hide this blog from my family because they just don't understand anything, but I have created another blog that they will know about. What does this mean? Well, this blog will still be going for a little bit. I have built up a reputation here and need to assure my sponsors and readers that nothing, except the name, will change.

Also, I will not be discussing quitting smoking or any reference to me ever smoking on this new blog. Out of respect for my family (it would make my mom cry) I don't want them to know. So, if you decide to follow me to my new blog, please be mindful of this matter.

So, if you are interested in my new blog and twitter account, please leave me a comment. I will not share this information here as I am trying to separate the two.

Thank you for making me who I am today. I am not deserting you I promise! I am just moving on to the next stage in my life: removing my anonymity as a blogger. The Maniacal Matron - @MMScarletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03856687626309191226noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4533508488560963253.post-82090214891645801182011-01-18T00:00:00.001-05:002011-01-18T00:00:05.865-05:00Tasty Tuesday - Homemade Alfredo SauceThis recipe isn't exactly 100% "healthy" but it's absolutely yummy and a new family favorite - especially with tortellini.

You may have to adjust the ingredients to fit your family's needs. This made 4 servings - but yet we LOVE the sauce and like to dip bread sticks in the sauce too! :-)

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
8 oz light cream cheese
1 cup fat free milk
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon minced garlic cloves
Salt and Pepper to taste preference

In large saucepan, melt butter. If using stick butter, cut into pieces to melt faster and more evenly.

When butter is melted, add cream cheese. Once again, if using the bar, cut up into smaller pieces.

Once butter and cream cheese are mixed well together, mix in milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed

Once it's sauce-like, remove from burner, cover and let sit until thick. Stir every few minutes to prevent the "skin" layer from forming (that grosses me out) or the sauce from sticking to the still warm pot! :-)

Pour over your favorite sauce and enjoy! The Maniacal Matron - @MMScarletthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03856687626309191226noreply@blogger.com0
